SECTION 2 — HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

Classified as HAZARDOUS according to Safe Work Australia criteria (GHS).

Flammable Liquid — Category 3
Skin Irritation — Category 2
Specific Target Organ Toxicity (Single Exposure) — Category 3 (may cause drowsiness or dizziness)

Signal word: WARNING

Hazard statements: H226 Flammable liquid and vapour. H315 Causes skin irritation. H336 May cause drowsiness or dizziness.

SECTION 4 — FIRST AID MEASURES

Skin contact	Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected skin thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Eye contact	Flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, holding eyelids open. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Inhalation	Move the person to fresh air. If symptoms such as dizziness or headache persist, seek medical attention.
Ingestion	Do NOT induce vomiting. Contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or a doctor immediately.

SECTION 6 — ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Remove all sources of ignition. Ventilate the area. Contain the spill and absorb with inert material such as sand, earth or vermiculite. Collect absorbed material into a sealable container for disposal in accordance with local council and EPA requirements. Do not allow the product to enter drains, stormwater systems or waterways.

SECTION 7 — HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling: Use only in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands after use and before eating, drinking or smoking.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and ignition sources. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Store away from oxidising agents. Do not store in site vehicles on hot days.

SECTION 8 — EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Eye protection	Safety glasses with side shields (AS/NZS 1337.1).
Hand protection	Nitrile gloves. Do NOT use leather riggers gloves — solvent soaks through leather and holds it against the skin.
Respiratory protection	Not normally required in well-ventilated areas. In enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces, wear a half-face respirator with an organic vapour cartridge (AS/NZS 1716).
Ventilation	Use with adequate natural or mechanical ventilation to keep vapour levels low.

SECTION 10 — STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Conditions to avoid: Heat, sparks, open flames, direct sunlight.

Incompatible materials: Strong oxidising agents (for example, pool chlorine and some cleaning chemicals). Keep separated in storage.
