DOCUMENT 2 — SWMS EXTRACT (Safe Work Method Statement)

SWMS No. 08: Concrete pour and pumping operations | Principal contractor: Harbourline Constructions Pty Ltd

High-risk construction work: Work carried out in an area with movement of powered mobile plant

Concrete pump set-up and pour	Moving plant, hose whip, concrete burns to skin and eyes	Establish a 3 m exclusion zone around the pump and boom — only the line hand may enter, and a spotter must be in place at all times. All workers on the pour wear gloves, safety glasses and gumboots. Wash concrete splashes off skin immediately.

All workers must read and sign this SWMS before starting work on the pour.

Concrete pump arrives on site 6:30 am. Pour starts 7:00 am.
All edge formwork must be inspected and signed off by the site supervisor by 3:00 pm Wednesday 11 March.
Toolbox talk Thursday 6:15 am — all workers involved in the pour must attend and sign the SWMS.
Keep the driveway clear of vehicles and materials for pump access.
