Instruction to all workers

Before leaving site today, every worker must complete their records for the day: the site diary entry, your timesheet, and — where anything unplanned occurred — a near-miss / incident report. Entries must be legible, accurate and complete. Write in plain English, include dates and times, and be specific. "Did some work on the units" tells the office nothing — "Installed wall frames to Units 3 and 4, ground floor" tells them everything. Where a field does not apply, write Nil — never leave a field blank, because a blank field looks like a missed entry.

Today's events — Tuesday 17 March 2026 (use this to complete your records)

6:30 am — Start of work. Toolbox talk on manual handling, 6:30–6:45 am. Crew on site: Liam O'Connor (leading hand), Ahmed Hassan (carpenter), you (apprentice carpenter).
9:15 am — BuildCo Supplies delivered 32 sheets of 13 mm plasterboard, delivery docket #48217.
Morning — Crew installed wall frames to Units 3 and 4, ground floor.
11:00–11:40 am — Building certifier inspected the frame at Unit 2. Frame passed inspection.
12:00–12:30 pm — Unpaid lunch break.
1:30–2:15 pm — Heavy rain. All external work stopped for 45 minutes.
2:40 pm — Near miss at Unit 3: an unsecured length of 90 × 45 mm timber slid off the scaffold platform and landed about one metre from Ahmed Hassan. No one was injured. The area was cleared and all loose materials on the scaffold were secured. The event was reported to Priya Sharma at 2:45 pm.
3:30 pm — Finish of work. No plant or equipment was hired today.
