GENERAL NOTES

All trusses are nail-plated timber trusses. Install in accordance with AS 4440 Installation of nail-plated timber roof trusses, the NCC and the manufacturer's fixing details supplied with this job pack.
Wind classification N2. Tie-down and bracing connections per the fixing schedule on Sheet TL-02 and the manufacturer's specification.
Truss spacing is 600 mm maximum, measured centre to centre on the top plates.
Bottom chords to be a constant 20 mm above all internal non-loadbearing wall top plates. Trusses must not bear on internal walls. Fix with slotted internal wall brackets — nail in the vertical slot only to allow truss deflection.
Do not cut, drill or notch any truss member without written approval from the truss designer.
Provide temporary bracing as each truss is stood. Do not release lifting equipment until the truss is restrained. Erect trusses plumb and aligned at the apex — string line the ridge before final fixing.
Girder brackets and truss hangers are proprietary items supplied with this job. Install with full nailing to every hole per the manufacturer's fixing details.
Report any damaged truss, loose nail plate or shortage to the fabricator before installation. Do not repair trusses on site.
